Wedding Sails For Your Guests!

Newport, Rhode Island has become a noteworthy destination for wedding ceremonies because of its historical landmarks, stunning sites and unbeatable ocean views. Often referred to as the “City-by-the-Sea,” Newport is home to one of the prettiest harbors in the United States and is the sailing capital of the world!

Every summer, Sightsailing does a large number of pre- and post-wedding sails. These memorable excursions offer the bride and groom an opportunity to treat their family + guests to a quintessential Newport experience. Some newlyweds take their guests before or after the big day, while some decide to immediately follow their ceremony with a sail.

Here are photos of Amanda + Matt’s Post – Post Wedding Sail on the Schooner Aquidneck.  While it’s more common to go for a sail the day before or after the ‘big day”, Matt, Amanda, and guests went straight from the ceremony to the boat! It was great!

Aquidneck is a great boat for hosting large groups!  She has a wide beam and a large amount of open deck space enabling guests to move about with ease!
