Bachelorette & Bachelor Sailing

About Our Bachelorette Parties:

Planning a bachelorette party for the bride-to-be? Consider hosting a bachelorette party by going sailing in Newport, the sailing capital of the country. We host hundreds of bachelorette and bachelor parties aboard our boats every season. They offer a fun, unique, and memorable experience for all.

Our private charters on Sightsailer or Starlight are the most popular choices for both bachelorette and bachelor parties. A private charter means that you’re renting the entire boat for just your party.  We allow our charter guests to bring food and drink play music, relax, and chart their own course.

Other than having the entire boat to just your party, the big difference between public sails vs. private charters is that you can have food or drinks, listen to your own music, etc.

On public sails, no large or roll-on coolers, platters of food, or personal music players are permitted and since it’s a public sail, no party ‘props’ are permitted.  We promote a family environment and we ask that large groups be respectful of that.

Which Vessel?

Starlight

Sailing with up to six guests, sailing on Starlight is like sailing on your own private yacht.  She is the perfect boat for small bachelorette parties.

She is a clean and well-equipped O’Day 34.  She is 34 feet, comfortable, and fun to sail. Her comfortable cockpit, custom stern perch seats, ample deck space, and cozy cabin make her the perfect size and design for day sailing around Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. There is a cooler for drinks and snacks, a stereo with an iPod interface, and blankets and jackets for cool evenings.

Available for 2-hour private charters, Starlight sails the longest and the furthest of any of our boats.  Almost all guests find a two-hour sail that allows them to cover plenty of ground, relax and experience the joy of sailing.

Sightsailer

Sightsailer sails with a maximum of 13 guests and offers a fast, fun, and comfortable sailing experience.  If you’re looking for a spirited, lively sail and like the idea of a smaller number of guests, come sailing on Sightsailer!

She is 46 feet, light, with a large sail plan and cushioned cockpit. Compared to Aquidneck, Sightsailer is lower to the water, which means you get more of an adventurous, race-boat sailing experience. Non-sailors should not be alarmed: the sail is always very smooth.

This vessel has a small, narrow cockpit table for light food, an Igloo cooler for drinks, and a stereo with an iPod interface.  Blankets are available for cooler weather as well as rain jackets in the event of a passing shower.

Aquidneck

Aquidneck is a beautiful and comfortable schooner for a Newport harbor cruise sailing with a maximum of 49 passengers. This vessel has plenty of comfortable places to sit or lounge,  including teak benches with backrests. This vessel offers comfortable chair-height cabin tops and a large amount of open, uncluttered deck space that enables guests to move about with ease.

For private charters, we have a large, elegant, mahogany table that holds caterer platters, as well as several Igloo coolers to hold beer, wine, or champagne. There is a stereo system with an iPod interface, blankets for cool evenings, and light rain ponchos in the event of a passing shower.

See more details on each boat in the Our Fleet section and their scheduled sailing times on the Schedule & Rates page.  See the FAQ’s for more food and drink information and answers to many frequently asked questions.
