Sunset cruises are a great way to wrap up your day and start your evening in Newport. There is no better place in Newport to view the sunset than from the deck of our boats, sailing and sipping champagne while watching the sun go down!
Newport sunsets can be spectacular! On sunset sails, Newport’s southwesterly breeze starts to moderate. The sky turns from a bright blue to a grayish blue laced with fiery reds and oranges. As the sun sets, the Pell Newport bridge’s necklace lighting starts to twinkle.
On all of our sunset sails, you’ll get great views of Fort Adams, the Pell Bridge, Hammersmith Farm (the former summer Whitehouse of JFK), Clingstone (the house on a rock) and yachts from all over the world. Your captain and crew will point out the sights and provide light, informative commentary.
We recommend buying tickets in advance as sunset sails are one of our most popular cruises and frequently sell out.
Remember that evenings can be cool on the water. While we have blankets, we recommend a light top or jacket even in the summer. Long pants are recommended early and late in the season.
Sunset Sails on Aquidneck and Sightsailer include complimentary champagne, beer and water.*
*Although complimentary champagne and beer are included in your ticket price, our sails are not “booze cruises”. We will serve a couple of rounds, however we aim to create a peaceful, relaxing, family- friendly atmosphere for all guests to enjoy.
