All of us at Sightsailing hope that you, your family, and friends are well!
Rhode Island is gradually reopening. The state has given the green light and on Saturday, May 23, we started offering sails on all of our boats!
Fresh air and sunshine are healthy for everyone and restore the soul, so come out for a sail!
We are following all state guidelines regarding reduced capacity, practicing social distancing and implementing extra sanitizing steps.
Please check-in for your sail at least 20 minutes before departure so that you may complete the required Covid 19 questionnaire and receive your boarding tickets.
Rules we are following:
1. All guests are screened for Covid 19 symptoms as is our staff on a daily basis. We can not take anyone who exhibits Covid 19 symptoms so if you are not feeling well, please stay home!
2. Face masks are required for all, so please bring your face mask. No face mask, no service.
You are required to wear your face mask when boarding and disembarking the vessel and while the boat is departing and returning to the wharf.
Once you are seated and providing you can maintain social distancing of approximately 6 feet, your mask may be removed although we encourage you to wear it as much as possible.
You must wear your mask if getting up and moving about the vessel if social distancing cannot be maintained, or if told to do so by captain or crew.
We feel that these policies are sensible and help to keep all safe and comfortable, so please do your part, respect your fellow guests and help keep us on the right track by adhering to these policies.
3. All frequently touched surfaces on vessels are being wiped down and disinfected between sails.
Aquidneck is sailing with a maximum of 22 guests instead of 49, so there is plenty of room for all! In order to maintain social distancing, this is a strict maximum that we cannot exceed. No groups larger than 5 until after June 1 when that increases to 15.
If you would like to go sailing and are concerned about being with people you don’t know, you may want to consider a private charter on our vessels Starlight or Sightsailer. Both vessels offer private charters so it’s only your group of people on board the boat.
Please click here to view all available dates and departure times. We strongly encourage purchasing your tickets online for contactless payment and check-in.
Tickets and charters will be refunded providing you cancel at least 72 hours before your sail. Sightsailing will refund you in full if a trip is cancelled due to weather, mechanical issues, insufficient guests, or COVID-19 restrictions.
We will post updates here and on our Facebook and Instagram page as we receive them.
Feel free to email or call us with any questions.
Stay Safe, happy, and hopeful. And come out for a sail! The Team at Sightsailing
